About the Author!

Welcome to Faith and Worship.com which has been around for a few
years now, albeit in different forms.
The current incarnation of the site is much more personal, being
mainly a collection of prayers written by myself in the last few
years, together with some favourite prayers mainly written in the
early centuries of Christianity.
The primary aim has always been to write prayers that are accessible
in style and would fit into any service of worship. Indeed, this
is how it all began, as I struggled to find resources to use - often
finding that books of prayers contained many that I had issues with
regarding language or concept. God is often like that - give him
a challenge and you find that you are part of the solution!
A Methodist Lay Preacher and worship leader living in Wales for
around 20 years, I have become increasingly aware of the rich heritage
handed down by the early Christian Saints who set up home in the
wilder regions of this beautiful country.
They looked at the elements around them; the landscape, the sea,
the seasons and the grandeur of the forces of nature and saw within
them the hand of their Creator. Their prayers reflected their awe
and wonder.
I think we have lost sight of this aspect of our God. We have our
eyes glued so close to the ground upon which we walk that we never
look up and see ourselves in relation to the bigger picture.

Bible Reading Fellowship notes, and his prayers have appeared on
various websites, been reprinted in many worship services around
the world (Alaska is so far the most remote!) as well as in Church
of England and Methodist publications. He also writes

owner of a new allotment plot which is his pride and joy!
