Wholeness

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Ezek 36:26

Into the warmth of your presence we come, Lord God
All: With the offerings of our praise, our worship, our prayers and our lives.

Into the warmth of your presence we come, Lord God
All: Freed from the distractions of the world, free to meditate on your word.

Into the warmth of your presence we come, Lord God
All: To be blessed by the depth of your love and the warmth of this fellowship.

It is good to be here, Lord; good to be in fellowship with each other; good to know the presence of your Spirit in this place; good to know that you are here with us, listening, prompting, touching lives, healing, renewing, making us whole.

I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations;
All: I will sing of you among the peoples

For great is your love, higher than the heavens
All: Your faithfulness reaches to the skies

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens
All: And let your glory be over all the earth
(Psalm 108)

In your eyes, Father all are loved
created in your image
a part of your purpose
of equal worth
Forgive us that we have divided this world
into the 'have' and the 'have-nots'
into the rich and the poor
the 'in crowd' and the outcasts
members and non-members
us and them
Forgive our insensitivity
our selfishness
our greed and pride
Help us to see others
as you see them

We join together in the words of the Lord's Prayer
All: Our Father...

'Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
(1 Chr 16:29)

Lord God, you breathed this world into being, and in your infinite wisdom created mankind to be its stewards.
All: Thank you, Creator God

You created mankind in your image, and wanted nothing more than to have fellowship with your creation, your family.
All: Thank you, Father God

When mankind had failed your purpose, you did not discard us, but poured out your love in the person of Jesus, your Son; who came into this world that we might have life and have it to the full
All: Thank you, Loving God

And now we stand before you, your children; brothers and sisters of a heavenly Father, in a relationship made right again through the sacrificial love of your dear Son upon a cross and his glorious Resurrection.

Shall we spend a moment or two in quiet reflection.
For love, freely given to all
(pause)
For wholeness, the healing touch for broken lives
(pause)
For Salvation, for being made right again with God
(pause)

And now with the angels in heaven we declare

All: To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and glory and honour and power, for ever and ever. Amen
